White Flint Mall ” you’re fired”
I just came across the news of what has become of the piece of earth known as the Mall you so enviously protected and of which you so hatefully banned me from stepping on each day as I showed up for work 7:am, and I could not resist the temptation of getting even. So I penned the following words in fond memory of our brief but memorable (for me) meeting. Enjoy!!!
Coby (no more that 4 feet tall in stature)
Manager White Flint Mall CERCA 1990.
Hello Coby, Remember me? It’s Winston Moctar, the guy you fired in 92 for telling you “it’s only in your mind” a defense concocted on my part as an effort to save my job. Remember you told me to meet you in the parking lot while you walked around my old jalopy and scolded me for not parking correctly? remember that Well I do, as I recall you were not satisfied the way it was parked, My old and dilapidated brown color 1976 Fleetwood Brougham with 250.000 miles badly in need of repair, surely you were aware of my financial state and how much I needed that job at your father’s White Flint Mall where you ignored my financial needs while you acted as lord of all you survey, and manager. You then told me to go to your office and when I got there you fired me on the spot. In disbelief I asked if you were serious and you replied ” as a heart attack” Remember? Well guess what? I want to thank you for firing me, because since then life for me has never been better. That’s more than you can say for yourself I am sure judging from the look of your mall now. I must also say I am reassured each time you people do me wrong I will triumph over you and remain prosperous in spite of how much you try to oppress me, and this display I see of your mall after your parting words to me which were ” punch out and go home” proves that point every time. You wished me evil but I am better off today for it especially in light of what I see has become of your precious mall. Who’s fired now?
